So I spent most of today, and bits of the past two days trying to get BackTrack installed. Boy has that proven impossible for me with my MBP 8,2. Has anyone gotten this to work?

I've tried DVD and USB installs with the 32 and 64 bit versions and neither will work. The DVD will boot into the boot loader and after selecting the boot option (any of them) will result in:

(initramfs) Unable to find a medium containing a live file system

The USB installers that I've created with UNetBootIn won't even boot. rEFIt is installed, the Linux options shows up, select it, wait... Get a blinking cursor and then it boots into my Boot Camp Win 7 partition.

I was hoping to be able to just be able to load into the Live environment before trying to install it, but I'm not even getting that far. Looks like I'll be using the VM and ordering a USB WIFI card.
