Ugh! Why doesn't the iPod app work in landscape mode?

And before you say I'm stupid that videos/music do play in landscape mode, I am talking about navigation.

I don't understand why I can't navigate in landscape mode. How has this been completely missed?

I must say that I wouldn't want to navigate the iPod app in landscape. I prefer portrait for sure.

I don't jailbreak, but there may be a jailbreak solution for you. I don't know for sure though.

Why would you need to? All the information is perfectly viewable on portrait.

I would think that it is purely a UI usability decision. They know that long lists (like song lists) work better in a "long format" like portrait vs. a short format and offered that only.
