Try removing/readding your finger prints regardless if unlock works fine.

Apple pay works for me every single time I use it.

It's been flawless for me all two of the times I've used it (more vendors please!!).

Combination of :apple: Pay and Touch ID works great for me. Always beep and unlock with fingerprint.
Just need more places with NFC terminal that would accept it.

I found I held my phone differently when just unlocking it versus reaching out to the NFC terminal. My thumb is at a different angle. Re-register your apple pay finger mimicking this action. Worked for me

Try cleaning your phone, washing your hands, and re registering your finger print.

I have to agree. Touch ID works so fast and accurately when unlocking, it does it nearly every time I press the home button. However, Pay takes 2-3 seconds to register my print. Half the time I get an error, because I slightly move the phone away from the reader when scanning my print.
