Oh Yeah...
The Screenie... Never Came. No matter What I did, I kept getting an error message saying that my image was "too big" to upload altough it was only 3"x5" at 72 dpi. Who knows.... Anyaway: The current Apple front page Sucks Ass.

3"x5" at 72dpi (216x360pixels) equals 228K uncompressed. So depending on how you saved it out it might still have been bigger than the maximum size of 102400bytes for attached files...

Considering that Apple has to push the Pepsi thing, I kinda like what they did. The tiled background effectively gets across the idea of millions of bottles.
Agreed that it's not terribly attractive, but I do think it's clever.

Compare to www.pepsi.com - Apple is not as prominently displayed
and http://www.apple.com/itunes/pepsi/ is a little better.
