I saw something similar but only when my ram usage was high.
It happened whilst rendering a screenshot I posted in another thread here.
It also happened in the App Store window whilst I was downloading the Mavericks installer (for the second time) when the outsides of the App store window alternated from normally displayed to a series of thin stripes. The inside of the window remained fine.
It hasn't happened since I've rebooted - yet.
My rMBP is mid 2012
