Hello All,

I just tried to upgrade from 10.4.11 to 10.5, using a Leopard CPU Drop-In DVD. After selecting English as the language to use, the installer tried searching for v10.4, but said it could not find it. I definitely am running 10.4.11 currently, so I have no idea what the problem could be.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd really appreciate hearing them. I am supposed to have my system upgraded to Leopard for work by Monday, so I don't know what I'm going to do.

Thanks in advance!

You can't use the restore discs provided with another Mac to upgrade the operating system. You'll need a full retail release of Mac OS X, which in this case means you will need to skip Leopard and go straight to 10.6 Snow Leopard.

Aidoneus,

Thanks for the help. I ended up buying a copy of Snow Leopard at a store, and everything went very well. I absolutely love the new OS! I don't know why I was so resistant to upgrading before. Thanks again!
