Anyone using UGREEN Revodok? I thought these were plug-n-play but having issues with the display and wondering if there’s something to tweak.

The Revodok connects my Air 5 to a HP Monitor (a ho-hum 24fw - a basic HD job I got from work) using HDMI. iPad sees the Monitor (it appears in the Displays setting), but the monitor intermittently displays. It will detect the input, display for a few minutes, go black, stay black for 30 seconds, come back, then rinse repeat.

I’ve messed around with the monitor settings but no dice. Cables are fine with other devices, monitor is fine with another iPad/USB-C dock set up and displays as well as it ever does with my work laptop.

Is there an obvious setting I’m not seeing or did I just get a lemon from Amazon? Any advice on a hun that will work? I have a HyperDrive affair that mounts directly on the side of my iPad but it requires removing the case and it poses issues with WiFi (as in, my iPad WiFi seems not to work…wtf?). The eSIM works fine.

So I said screw it, started a return to Amazon and bought a better dock made by Anker. Works straight out the box.

I've had problems with both ugreen and anker products lately. Someone did a tear down of each and found that both sets of products come from the same chinese factory and are off the shelf designs that they have just paid for their branding on. So they really are no better and basically identical to the cheap Chinese knock off products.

Disappointing.

Anker has been pretty good for me, but I've really only used their cables and power adapters. I've not tried their docks/hubs or anything like that.

Also have a few UGreen cables which have been fine. But nothing else from them so far.
