I was reformatting my External Hard Drive. I originally selected Zero Out Data so I could start from scratch. When I saw it would take 12 hours, I decided to press the "SKIP" button to just reformat. Now, though, It keeps saying "File Format Error: Unable to reformat drive" (Or something along these lines...).

Any ideas of what to do???

I was able to partition the drive as empty space in disk utility, then I was able to erase the disk and reformat as I wished.

Thanks for the help though!
