I keep hearing reviewers complaining that the new Macbook Pro uses UHS-II SD card slots instead of the newer UHS-III

There's a problem though... UHS-III doesn't actually exist!

I found an articles saying that UHS-III was proposed in 2017... but it never came to market. There was another standard proposed later called SD Express. But that doesn't exist either.

Here's what the big photo retailers offer today:

So... how did these photo/video/tech reviewers get this so wrong?

They're happy that the SD card slot is back. But then they totally missed the fact that UHS-III isn't actually a thing!

Weird.
