so according to the docs, i can have a keyboard return key display "Route", "Go" or "Yahoo!", but there isn't be "Save"? in my opinion, "Save" is more of an ideal return key option than "Go" or "Route".

is there anyway to customize the UIReturnKeyType with my own string.

There's no built-in way to set the return key label to arbitrary text. You can choose from the values in the UIReturnKeyType enum. You might want to choose Done and then have your own Save button in the view or have Done implicitly mean Save.

hopefully one day apple will make this easier, or at least include more commonly used button types... i mean, we have "Route" and "Go" but no "Save" or "Login"? really, apple? in the meantime, i've found this very helpful blog concerning this very issue.
