UK Apple online reserve?

I have tried for the last three days to reserve an ip5 using the online store reserve system. But I have not received one email to make me aware of any in-stock.
I know that you need to make a new order each morning and if there is one in stock then you receive the email but it's an extremely frustrating system because it's the only way to get one in-store but there is no way for them to alert you when more arrive.
What time do you usually receive the email if you get one reserved?

I spoke to apple about this, and whenever the reservation system is live, it means they are getting new stock. The computer then selects (randomly apparently) those lucky people who get an iPhone. If the reservation system is switched off as it was saturday, then they are out of stock and are not expecting any. The Apple sales person said that they themselves have no clue when they get new delivers and that only manager knew.

Trying to get one for the wife - put in two reservations today at two different stores. Both came back positive with emails to arrange collection!

After a week of trying, I finally got an email from Apple at 730pm saying they have an iphone reserved for me! Only remembered to do it today at 11am.

yeah that would be interesting to know.

Ive read that people with Week 39 iPhone 5's are having little or no issue.

Mine (arrived Oct 1st) is a week 39 - absolutely flawless.

Collected the wife's iPhone 5 today, and that's a week 38 - there are a couple of very small marks where the body joins the sim tray. Have to look carefully in the right light to see them, but wife wasn't bothered.
