UK Apple Store is down 1/7/14 9AM

I was wondering why the OP posted that the Apple store was down on January 7th 2014 until I realized the OP was from the UK. I can take the metric system, driving on the other side of the road but, the different date format is going to far .

Nothing is new this morning in the US Apple store so it must be the Touch update that we had last week.
