Hey, so I think I want to reserve an iphone 4 from my local Apple Store, but I'm currently still 1 month in my T-Mobile contract (eligible for upgrade). Are Apple able to do upgrades in store for me, or can they only open new contracts? I don't really want to have to change my number!

I noticed on the US Apple store, there was an option for AT&T customers to do it, but I wonder if the same is true in the UK.

Anyone got any previous experience from past iPhone launches?

No. Apple will do a sim-free option online. If you want to go to a network with a contract you have to buy from that network on the 24th

I didn't mean from the online store, I meant in the retail store - you can reserve one at your local store, and Apple can sort out a contract from there. But I don't know how much control they have over the mobile operator systems - I think for an upgrade they will need to access my account....
