Uk contract upgrade from Apple store?

Hey,

Does anyone know if the Apple Store can do network upgrades when I buy my iPhone 4? I'm eligible for upgrade with T-mobile, but I want to keep my number, so it would be great if I can sort it out from my local retail store.

Anyone got past experience from previous iPhone launches?
