UK: CPW/O2 iPhone 3G 14 day return?

I heard from O2 that within 14 days you can return the used iPhone and get it refunded and the contract terminated. Does this apply to instore Carphone Warehouse (CPW) purchases aswell?

I am 99% sure that if you buy from a cpw store they will not terminate a contract even if it's 10mins later, You are better of buying online you seem to have more rights that way.
