What now "White Van Man"*?
Van firm LDV into administration.

With the numbers about, you just take them for granted, but another one UK company bites the dust.

Vanmaker LDV has been placed into administration by a court, threatening up to 850 jobs and thousands more in the supply chain.

*The term White Van Man was first coined by Sarah Kennedy on Radio 2 in 1997. His reputation as an aggressive and inconsiderate driver is a modern myth. His existence has led to studies by sociologist and even censure from politicians. However, others claim he is misunderstood and that he represents the legion of workers who help keep the economy turning - the service engineers, roofers, the drivers who supply shops with goods. As a result, when White Van Man suffers, we all suffer. Link

They mostly use Transits and Sprinters anyway, and Vauxhall's offering has become more popular over the past few years

I've seen less and less LDVs out and about - other firms seem to have noticed the market for white vans (and other colours!) and are doing well - probably why LDV have gone bust!

LDV's days were numbered when they withdrew their sponsorship of the Associate Members' Cup.

We've won that! :D
