Are there any trade-in places in the UK like Gazelle, where you can lock in a price for 30 days?

I'm thinking about trading in / selling my iPhone 6s and getting a 7 (or whatever it is) plus when the new one comes out.

I just wondered if there was a place you could lock in the price so I can keep my options open?

Cheers
Stewart

Not that I know of. Envirophone is probably the closest as they give two weeks initially and typically extend the validity of the quote they give you by another week. I've used them the last two years running when upgrading my iPhone. The only downside although it's not something that bothers me is that they can take up to a week to send you the money. I got the quote from them the day before Apple's press conference to give me the most amount of time before I have to send my phone off to them.

Mazuma will give you 14 days, then normally another 7 after that. I've used them for years! I've had a few discrepancies with Envirophone in the past reducing the values of phones. Mazuma have paid the full price every time.

My experience with Envirophone the last two years has been the opposite with positive experiences.

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but if I lock in my price with Envirophone or Mazuma, and then change my mind and decide I am not going for the iP7 - can I just not send my phone, and the sale will be cancelled?

yes of course. don't worry they won't come knocking on your door demanding you sell them your phone

Just had a look - they offer £328 for my 6+, a fair bit more than anyone else. Seems very tempting, I did say I wouldn't upgrade but this has given me food for thought.

Interesting

Might have to do mine the day before the keynote then. That way if I pre order I can sell my phone when I get the new one

I emailed to ask but I can confirm it is 28 days from your order date
That's for that, plenty of time then. Think will send my iPhone in when I get the 7 plus. Do they send you reminders do you know letting you know how long you have left to send it?

Mazuma Mobile and many other sites in the UK. They are similar to Gazelle, BuyBackWorld, etc

I emailed Music Magpie just to check, they told me that the order is valid for 14 days, and you can cancel anytime from order onwards.
"Hi Rebecca, If you are selling media items you have up to 3 months. If you are selling a electronic item the offer is only valid for up to 28 days. Hope this helps - B"

Got offered £410 for iPhone 6s Plus 64gb O2 on music magpie. Will use this to buy the iPhone 7s plus 128 go if it is worth upgrading. Otherwise stick with my trusty 6s plus.
