I was very tempted to pull the trigger. However
The uk base price is £1999 vs usa price $2499
That's a massive price difference; £417 or $667
I get an education discount, but still there is an astronomical cost disparity

I have been tempted all night, but going to wait for tb3 and better graphics card
I'm hoping apple will see sense and allow not with nvidia 980m

I am also going for 512gb sad, i7 4ghz upgrades too
Just not very impressed really the and graphics

You're forgetting to add 20% tax - US prices are effectively minus VAT.

That brings it to £1861 or so... So less than 10% more.
