Has anyone had confirmation of opening times? Rang my 3 local stores a few times over the last cople of days, they have all said no arrangements made.

They have said the info will go up on the stores website first, has anyone's local store confirmed?

Check the Macrumours news feed area. 8am practically confirmed. It will be 8am in the launch countries local time so even if it is 8am in the US, it will still be 8am UK time. Good luck!
 
I phoned one of the bristol stores today and the guy said they still dont know, i really hope it is 8am not 5pm which seems really stupid to me, doesnt make any sense.

I can't see how they could open at 5pm. Surely, the queues would be there all day and would be massive causing disruption to other shoppers.

Thats another reason why it doesnt make sense to me, yes they did it when the ipad 2 was launched, but in everyway its better to be 8am, i just hope everyone thats confident that it is 8am is correct!
 
I have just spoken to my local store, they could not confirm the launch time for friday but they did say it would be announced @ http://www.apple.com/uk this afternoon !

Here's hoping for a 5pm launch like last year ! But if the rumours are to believed it's going to be 8am.

John Lewis or PC Worlds are the best bet other than Apple.
 
will take a walk into the town round my university then see if i can get one as im not near an apple store till saturday when im guessing they will likely of sold out

I spoke to someone at pc world and he said my store won't have them on launch, he said the bigger stores will be first to get them then the smaller stores. Not sure whether to believe it or not but il look anyway he said it took his store a month to get the iPad 2.
