Had my 8 replaced yesterday due to a screen freezing issue. I had some full cover screen protectors from amazon that fitted perfectly, no dust under it, no halo, just a perfect fit. So I ordered some more of those, only the quality of the second one is totally different and it has an awful halo effect.

I'm that owner who needs the screen protector to be perfect. I usually use plastic protectors because I can remove and replace as needed to make 100% sure there's no dust under it, can't do that with the glass ones so was really impressed with the one I had as for the first time ever I got a perfect fir first time.

So can someone in the UK recommend me a full screen coverage protector that doesn't have the halo effect.

thanks

Unfortunately I’ve been in the same boat with numerous protectors (beginning to think it’s the phone not the protector). Can recommend the anker karapax ones.

I should note I had my 8 replaced the week after launch and the above screen protectors applied perfectly to the first one but I’ve encountered nothing but problems with them on the second one (also tried a different anker protector, spigen, esr and JETech all with the same issue) and have had a few packs now. This being said though their customer support has been brilliant and they sent me a replacement pack which at first seemed to work but then failed and are going to send me another pack soon (they’ve said they have a new version coming out next month - I’m guessing it’s a problem they’re aware of perhaps).

I may just go back to the plastic ones. They don’t provide the same level of protection but they are also much cheaper and much easier to apply as you can peel them back to get any dust out.

Had three more delivered today. They’re all in the bin now.
