(UK) iPhone o2 Payg sim- how to tell if it has free internet without topping up??

I got an o2 payg sim with a second hand iphone i bought. It currently has no credit on it.

I want to find out if it one of the free internet sims but don't want to have to pay £10 to top it up to find out. is there any other way? i've put it in my iphone and I can't access the internet when the sim is in (my normal sim card works fine)- does this mean it's not a free internet sim or could it be because tehre is no credit on it?
