Hi, tommorow morning a nice shiney iPhone (should) be arriving at my door;
can someone tell me the very best way to unlock, i have looked at 2 ways, one way published on 9to5mac and the other on modmyiphone, i think one uses iUnlock and one anySIM

can i have some advice please?

thanks

If i were you, i'd be PISSED right about now. 1.1.1 update means no unlocking, so i hope you get the old firmware iPhone.

As for the unlocking, just use the unlocking software provided by the site you listed.

i used the modmyiphone way, it seemed to work the best.

DEFINITELY use independence, because that means youtube will work also.
and if you scour the forums, you'll find the o2-uk edge settings. if you're on O2 of course.

I have heard of lots of people having problems when using anySIM to unlock.

I used this guide here the other day and it worked absolutely perfectly and as you can see from all the feedback, many many other people have also used it successfully.

I now have an iPhone running on o2-UK perfectly.

Thanks everyone!! what is the difference between anySIM and iUnlock?
