I’m really torn. I was planning on getting a M4 with 1TB and 16GB, but it’s also dawned on me that early next year they’ll do an M4 MBA which will be cheaper for the same processor. So I’m wondering whether to go for the bottom spec MBP M4Pro and up the SSD to 1TB. It’s about £350 difference. The M4Pro is definitely overkill for me, but it also feels weird buying an M4 that’s effectively going to have a cheaper version of it out in a few months.

That said I want to buy now as I’ve just started a uni course 🤷

I’ll be doing some GoPro video editing and probably get hold of Ableton for music production……. But it will just be hobby stuff. There won’t be any game design or rendering, and my uni course is in science, so nothing too taxing for it there either

How did you find this out? do you have a way of tracking it? Mine says it's being shipped to store (I went for an in store pickup) and will be available 11th. I keep hoping it will arrive sooner 😁

My M4 Max 64gb 2TB unfortunately appears to be stuck in at one of the DHL depots in 'East China Area'. Shipment was picked up on 5th November, hopefully it gets a move on soon!

Picked up my M4 / 16 / 1TB in Space Black this morning from the Bsasingstoke Apple Store, migrated via Time Machine. All up and running.

I think you can only see the full tracking status if you're getting it delivered.

I opted for shipped to store, and have only been able to see "shipping to Store" since Monday morning when it dispatched, and still have Nov 8 - Nov 12 as the collection date. Was hoping to pick up tomorrow, but we'll see

Mine was too until last night; it moved to Hong Kong this morning. Scheduled for Monday delivery.
