UK mobile phone unlocking help

Can anyone reccomed a free website for unlocking a mobile phone?

Sony Ericsson W550i.

I found a site but they want me to download some software and turn my firewall off - yes, it sounds as dodgy as it can be.

In my experience it normally works out easier to have it done in a shop for £10. might cost money, but it's sorted within 5 minutes. I tried the websites and couldn't find anything to unlock my k750i . took it to shop, much easier.

the most common phones that you can unlock yourself are nokia phones. apparently, SE phones are 'unlockable' without a cable and special software. as the previous poster said, it works out easier to just take it to your local unbranded seller of all things cellular

O2 are great in this respect, if you're on a contract with them; their phones have no O2 labels and are completely unlocked. ive recently upgraded from a K700i to a K800i; now i can use the K700 as a spare on any network i desire. its a good system, keep it going O2!
