Anyone on here who has just bought/treated themselves to their first ever Apple watch? Ideally the series 6, maybe even the Nike edition?

Before I spend an alarmingly amount of below money to kit myself out I thought I would post the above to hopefully give me some needed comfort.

£509 (44mm cellular) + £209 (APP)

I currently run outdoors 3-5 weekly and have just sold 4th gen iPod 2 GB shuffle. I did run with my iPhone Whilst using 2nd gen AirPods. The latter became faulty as I think due to sweat intrusion. Also there have been a few moments when I almost dropped my phone in the mud. My sweaty palm gave way.

Thank you for your help and looking forward to hearing your comments. 👌

Buy it! Not the watch app, but just the watch.. You can get apps for much cheaper like WorkOutDoors for $6.99 (I forgot, I bought it a while ago).. better than the 200 for your app.

It's not my first Apple Watch, but I sincerely can not figure out how I ran before with my phone or an iPod... It's a night and day difference. Any BT headphones will pair with your watch, even the cheap ones, so you can replace them whenever you ruin them.

If you prepare (only the first time) your playlists previous to the run, you don't even have to get the cellular version (although if you run outdoors, with the cellular version you always have a lifeline with you in case of an emergency)

I am sure, and can partly understand your comments. When I went out running for the first time with Bluetooth earphones this summer it felt like a game changer, and that was whilst carrying my iPhone!

Yes there are cheaper earphone sets but I do like my music and whilst running too. To me good quality is important and I guess I’m prepared to pay for it over some vastly cheaper earphones found on Amazon etc. I have thought long and hard about this and hope I am right.

Cellular / non cellular. Usual debate on this one. I’m leaving towards the former as want to have that option of not having to have my iPhone nearby etc. It’s £5 per month with 02 to have cellular so not hugely crippling amount to pay. I would download some of my own playlists, and possibly subscribe to iTunes so I don’t get bored of my same playlists. A shame there is not an Amazon music app for the change as have gathered quite a lot on that too through my use of Prime.

The Bose Soundsport free have awesome sound, do not completely cancel outside noise (for safety when running outdoors) and are extremely water/sweat resistant.
