UK new PAYG iPhone firmware version

Hi all,

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year etc. Just a quick question to anyone who has bought a PAYG iPhone in the UK recently; what firmware version did it come installed with and what week was it manufactured?

This sort of info used to be easy to get hold of for the 2G model but there are no lists or databases for 3G. I'm looking for one with 2.1 or earlier.

I bought one from an O2 store PAYG on the 22nd dec. Not sure where it was manufactured but it was version 2.1. Had to replace it yesterday in a different O2 store in Cardiff as I had a minor fault. Still PAYG model, Still v2.1.
