UK O2 iPhone 4s order "14 working Days"

I've just upgraded to 4S with O2 (over the phone) and they've a 14 working day despatch date - I'm happy with this - since Carphone Warehouse were going to keep me one - then sold it.

Has anyone ordered recently with them and received it within the timeline?

My friend upgraded in a carfone warehouse and walked away with a black 16gb iPhone 4s.

The apple site quotes 1-2 weeks delivery.

If you look on the 02 forum some are still waiting for their handset.

Personally I choose not to be locked into a long contract and buy the phone outright. Currently its not available on pay as you go so I may take a trip to the apple store in meadow hall or just keep using my iPhone 4 till its available.

Have you tried reserving one, I notice that all but the 16gb black are available for reserve at the Gateshead Metro centre, might be worth looking at a store close to you.

Sheffield meadow hall online won't let me reserve one !!
