UK Pricing for New iPad and Pre-Orders

The prices for the new iPad 9.7" are up. At least they're not above the £500 mark. Looking forward to getting my hands on one next week!

The Smart Keyboard is a whopping £10 cheaper than for the 12"!

Will be ordering this at 8am (I presume) on Thursday morning. Just one question, what colour? Will either be Space Grey or Gold.

I can justify it if I spin it that its the same price as a 64GB Air 2 + £20 for the weaker exchange rate since the Air 2 was released. But I don't know if 32GB would be enough.

Shame its not out until next week - was hoping to pick one up this week for the easter weekend.

Space Grey. The laminated screen plus lower reflectivity will really work well with a black bezel.

I wish they'd do more colours with black bezels.

I'm tempted to actually go to a store on launch day. Never done it before as usually I have to work weekdays as I'm a teacher, but next week it's the Easter holidays! I'm going Gold, was sceptical when it was first introduced, but love the finish on my iPhone.

I shall order the 9.7" 256gb in Silver with cellular and pick up from my local Apple store. Add to that the pencil, smart keyboard and smart cover and thats over a grand :-(

I bet your bank balance wishes they hadn't introduced the 256gb model then! ;) Mine will be about £620 with a pencil and case. Now time to line up my justifications for buying before my girlfriend gets home... :confused:
 
Is this going to be the thread for all us UK guys who will be nervously posting in here next Friday, waiting for the postie to deliver our new shiny gadgets? :D
 
I'm going to be preordering the Rose Gold 256GB Wi-Fi+Cellular model. I've already ordered an Apple Pencil today incase there is a lot of demand for it come pre-order day and it's hard to get a hold of. I'm not going to bother with official Smart Keyboard Case at least not for now. It's pretty expensive and I'm not sure about that keyboard. As it's exactly the same size as an iPad Air 2 I'll just use my existing cases and Smart Cove for now. I also own a Logitech bluetooth keyboard that I currently use with my iPad Air 2 which should work with the iPad Pro if I need to use a keyboard.
 
256gb Cellular Space Grey for me, no accessories. Looking forward to the better speakers, big part of my usage is listening to podcasts on it while toting it around the house. Speakers will be a sizeable improvement.

Had a 12.9" for a couple of weeks, loved the speakers, way too big for me as portable consumption device though.

Mac Mini and 15" rMBP for work purposes.

0800 on the 24th for preorders I take it?

I'd be more inclined to get the smart keyboard if it was available in different colours other than black...

There is that too although I hadn't thought of that. I'm just going to see if I can use my existing Logitech keyboard before I invest in another one.
 
Think I'm going to sit it out for a couple of months (other things I need to focus on first) then probably opt for the 32GB WiFi + Cellular option.

Currently have the Air 2 128GB WiFi + Cellular version and have never used more than 20GB in terms of storage so think 32GB would be sufficient for my needs.
 
Can anyone remember what time pre-orders usually start? Need to get my refresh finger training underway!
 
Looking forward to getting 32gb Rose gold 9.7 inch!! Was gonna get a lavender case but it looks a bit brown...... :confused:
 
Hmmmm, still debating on whether to go for the 32Gb or 128Gb, I don't think I used more than around 20Gb on my 64Gb - but I can't really remember.

Any way I can find out from my backup?
