Hi

I work in IT in the UK and have a ltd IT company, vat registered so I can claim full amount of vat back etc.
I have no major purchases to buy this year and my current 2015 macbook pro (i7 16gb & 500Gb) is just over 3yrs old I would like to replace it.

Would you personally swap the above 2015 model for the 2018 15" i9 32gb 2Tb HD (£4400 - I can afford it and it will go through the company. I've done comparison of i7 vs i9 etc but am happy to go with i9). I plan on selling the 2015 with a target of £800 - seems to be approx price on ebay - apple offer £300.

I had Applecare with the 2015 but never used it, at over £300 not sure its worth it without accidental damage cover, I would look to replace in 3yrs +, opinions?

Without accidental damage cover applecare is not worth it in UK, consumer law covers basic warranty type failures, buy direct from apple to get easiest coverage.

thanks guys, that's what I assumed re applecare. Yep, will order build from apple and collect in store, hopefully they will migrate my data for me as well :D
