Ordered mine as soon as they went live and it arrived on Friday 24th.

I have to say still pics are amazing, but the few 4k videos I have watched have been a little jumpy. Not sure if this is YouTube or anything else... But a lot faster than my previous iMac

It's expensive but I would rather have no mechanical HD in side for noise reasons. Also want fastest access times and plan to split it 50/50 with windows using bootcamp. If your a light user you could get away with 512 or get the fusion which is still way faster than standard hard drives.

1tb SSD here too. I'm tight up against the limit on my 768gb rMBP from two years ago. Previous PC was 512 gb SSD, previous to that was 256 gb. Haven't used a rotating hard disk since 2009 except for NAS backup and am not about to start again now with last decade's technology.

Mine has had its departure scan from Kazakhstan now. :)

Getting really excited. I'm trying to not get too bummed out about all the negative talk until I see the thing but I am wishing I went for the 295 now.

I re-ordered mine on the 18th after cancelling my first order (realised I could get a healthy discount through an employee perks site so upgraded the CPU & GPU.)

I have a scheduled delivery of Tuesday 28th (Midlands, UK) and my most recent UPS update was that it had left Germany. After Kazakhstan it went to Poland and then onto Germany. Doesn't appear to be on a plane as it's been too long since and update.

Good luck with your deliveries everyone :)

Mine is due for delivery tomorrow but the last ups checkin was it departing Germany at 7:15 this morning.

I would have thought that it would have reached the uk by now if it was going by air so maybe the final stretch is on an over night lorry. I hope it makes it tomorrow as I've take the day off from work to receive it. :D

It's in the uk. Yay.

Nice one mate, lets see some pics when it arrives.

I'm so close to pulling the trigger myself.

Well it turned up about 45 mins ago so I haven't had much of a chance to play with it yet but the display is truly beautiful and coming from my late 2007 iMac upgraded with SSD and 4GB of ram it really is night and day performance wise.

I'm just running a few of the obligatory benchmarks now and will add them to relevant threads.

You asked for pics so here you go.

Sorry they're a bit crappy but I'm more keen to get down to playing with this thing and I'll try and take some better ones later. :)

i'll place my order tonight.

I'll keep everything the same, except i'll upgrade to 1 TB SSD and Trackpad instead of the Magic Mouse and Arabic wireless keyboard.

any recommendations to upgrade other parts? i'm a light user but i intend to keep it for like 4 years maybe 5?

I would definitely upgrade the GPU....

Nice :)

Pretty close to pulling the trigger myself now. Its a big change for me moving away from a windows gaming desktop to a mac.

Let us know your experience when you've had a good play around.

Just in-case you're still hesitating I've done a quick very unscientific video of booting up and opening every app I have installed to show just how quick and responsive this thing is.

I know this is mainly down to the SSD but I'm sure the i7 helps a bit too and I've certainly never experienced anything quite like this. :D

WOW impressive.

Did you order your RAM from Crucial UK? Can you let me know how you get on there are posts on here with people having issues, mainly when upgrading.

On the other hand Crucial are saying the sticks are fully compatible with the RiMac on their site.
