Just a heads up for folks in the UK! My local Sainsbury's at least has an offer where if you buy a £25 iTunes card you also get a £5 Sainsbury's gift card (so just £5 to spend in store really).

It's a nice offer if you like iTunes and you like, well.. food? :D

Hmm, I wonder if you use the Sainsbury's cards to buy more iTunes vouchers? :p

Had a quick look and it looks like a national offer, but couldn't find an expiry date - anyone know when this ends?

I went back to Sainsburys today (first saw the offer yesterday with a mind to buying today) and it seems it technically expired on the 23rd June... but I still got it.

You have to make sure you pick up the right Sainsburys card - it's a gift card with £5 already loaded rather than one of the ones where you pick the amount.

It said the expiry date in fine print on the sign but two staff members who went to check it out (after it didn't work on the checkout till properly) did not notice. They asked me to go to the customer service desk to put it through and they did it manually.

So here's hoping others have the same luck :)

I get mine at Tesco, so I get clubcard points on it. £25 = 25 points which converts to a quid if you use it on one of the special deals, e.g entry to a theme park, book a holiday, etc. Also, they've got 5p off fuel if you spend £50 or more, so you could use an itunes card to get you over the £50 mark on your shopping and get cheaper petrol. That's how I justify it anyway

I get disowned if I shop at Tesco - it's bad enough when I go to Waitrose as it's about ten times closer to me than my nearest Sainsbury's where I live!

Both my parents work at Sainsbury's! At least when I shop with either of them I get 10% discount (though sadly it's not on the iTunes cards) :(

Still not as good as the deal Argos were doing on Father's Day weekend; 2 x £15 iTunes vouchers for £20, I wonder if we'll see that offer re-surface any time soon!? But it's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick as they say, unless your girlfriend happens to shop in Sainsbury's...in which case the extra fiver will be gone before you know it!
