Is this an error or the new wave of commercialism at Apple, now they've turned middle-aged?

The home page icon for the track says 'free download - single of the week' - but when you go in there, it is priced at 79p like any other track.

:confused:
 
Something strange is going on. I followed a link from MR out to the US store just now, when I came back to the UK store the icon and the track had reverted back to last week's song. Curiouser and curiouser...

That's happened to me with the free weekly song too, as has the price. IIRC I clicked on the 'Buy' button and the track downloads as free (it's the only way I have most of those songs on my iTunes 'cause there's only been a couple I thought were any good)

Eh? Now the song is back to being the new one for this week, and still has the price against it!
