UK Student Discount (expired ID)

Hi,

My student discount expired last month.

I was just wondering, in your experience, how detailed the check is on student ID in order to get the discount? Do you think i'd be able to get away with it just showing them the card with my thumb over the year? I know it's cheeky but it doesn't feel like i'm doing that much wrong.
