I work for a major corporate company and there is talk of us starting a new scheme where by we buy hardware (actually 3 year lease, with option to own at the end for 3-5% of RRP) at vastly reduced prices (48%) and we would pay for it out of gross salary. Other countries within our group already have the scheme (but they are tied into Dell hardware only) I have friends working for other big companies and they have similar schemes. Talking to our purchasing manager it seems that Apple kit will be on the list of kit to buy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............I was wondering if anyone else in the UK had any experience of such schemes?

It will without question tempt me into a PM (In august!) and at least
a 23" screen. Perhaps even a new imac to tide me over till then too.... :)

They're pretty good schemes - although I seem to recall that they usually run over 2-3 years so if you want to upgrade inside that time, you could end up making payments for stuff you no longer have. It does tend to be a good deal though. Sadly my company went with HP so I only glanced at the offer.
