I was wondering whether you need to activate unlocked iPhones bought in the UK.

If so, then why if it is unlocked to all networks.

when u 1st switch it on, its asks you to put in a valid sim card, so any micro-sim or cut down mini sim will work, then you have to plug it into itunes to activate, and during that it says "ur iphone is unlocked", so yh u have to activate

Thanks

After the initial activation if i decide to use a different SIM do I need to activate again?

Cheers,
