I bought a new MacBook Pro in early July so I'm applicable to get Snow Leopard for £7.95 when it comes out - the UK scheme is detailed here:

http://www.apple.com/uk/macosx/uptodate/

But when I click the link where is says "If you purchased your computer directly from the Apple Online Store, follow this link to participate in the programme." I just get taken to an Apple Store login screen and when I login I'm shown an empty basket.

Anyone know how I apply or is the idea you wait for Snow Leopard to actually get released?

Thanks.

From what I understand, you'll be able to apply online through the "Up to Date" page or by going to an Apple Store and presenting the receipt for your machine.

It does the same for me, I guess they will fix it closer to the time!?

I had the same issue... not sure if you have an iPhone/iPod touch, but I tried on there, and it worked perfectly. SL is ordered :)

Bizarre but right, just ordered mine on my iPhone but in Safari and Firefox on my MacBook Pro and work machine running XP it didn't work.

Ordered mine today - thanks for this as i wouldnt have thought of it otherwise and brought for full price.

I've ordered 2 refurbished 13" MacBook Pros in the last couple of weeks. For some reason that model isn't listed amongst the qualifying models :(
