Hey people

Am wanting to purchase a new external hard drive and am wanting to get it on the cheap (am a student you see...). Was wondering if getting a firewire drive would be worth the money or if there were any reasonably cheap firewire drives around. Storage wise, Im looking for 320gb or bigger...price wise, less than £90/100.

cheers.

Beware....

Cheap and good rarely go hand in hand. If your data is worth backing up its worth it to spend a little extra on a good external.

personally i'd recommend the Lacie drives which have firewire 400/800 and USB - bought one in the US (dual voltage for UK) and the other one here for Time Machine and have no complaints at all... might only be able to get 320g or 500g for £100 (unless you know someone visiting the States), but worth it for the quality in my view.
