Since the upgrade i have noticed a drop in speed with 3G connection. Prior to the upgrade I regularly got 1200kbps+ in my local area. Just been testing over the last couple days (iphone speedtest site) and now I get no more than 640kbps. In real life browsing terms the difference is not that noticeable, but I was just wondering if any one else has noticed a similar thing.

im in the usa but i noticed the same exact thing. I was waiting to see if anyone else did also

Am I correct in saying that one of the suspected problems with the 3G reception and dropping calls and the like was that the iPhone was calling on too much power from the transmitters and therefore dropped the connection more often....

....could it be that 2.1 has been programmed to call for less power to try and solve these dropped calls problems, thus decreasing power over 3G internet, possibly reducing speeds?
