I had a quick search through the forums and there was a thread in 2010 regarding some good UK Webhosting services but nothing recent.

I used to just use the University servers for hosting and that was update with all the different technologies but I'm trying to pick one that isn't expensive and will just host my portfolio, nothing crazy extensive.

I need to be able to use the standard HTML or HTML5/ CSS/ JavaScript / PHP and maybe Ruby languages.
I have heard good things about fast2host but I'm confused by the whole windows or Linux hosting? Memset looks good as well but that seems overkill and little out of my price range.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

If you're looking in the UK, I would heartily recommend SouthWest Broadband for hosting -- good prices and outstanding service.

N.B. I am not affiliated with them at all.

The websites looks good and the reviews seems pretty solid. I might as well give it a month and see how it goes. Thanks.
