I'm looking for a relatively cheap mifi solution, here in the UK. What option/network provides the best value in terms of data allowance, price, etc?

The best value is by far offered by Three. Give them a look via http://www.three.co.uk.

Make sure you have a look at the coverage maps and remember that if bought in a store you have a 3 day return on pay as you go and 14 day return on any contract option.

Enjoy.

I would have to say three , they are pretty good with support and have the best HSDPA network in the uk , I just brought my iPad 16gb wifi and I will be purchasing a Mifi next ... I used to own one to use with my iPod touch and it was just awesome I didn't even use the 1GB usage !! Hope I have helped . Wrote this from my iPad x

Surely you mean BOUGHT? Wrote this from my iPad too.

Yup, Three.

It may seem a big outlay, but buy a 12GB yearly sim for £80. Unless you're a heavy user, that's £6.66 per gig of data, and you've got up to 12 months to use it.
