So I thought of consolidating the problems people are having for the new people who come in asking if you similar issues.

I will edit the thread as we go on but here are the two issues that I know of right now :

Yellow Tinge to your screen : https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/901710/

And the other problem is that the screen isn't completely flush when closed. Personally when I close my MBP, the edges on either side are lifted by 1 mm or less while the center is flush.

So vote!

Wow i guess its just my laptop screen that has a teeny gap on either side.

Bump bump

For some reason I am having a hard time believing that none of you guys have bowed screens.

I just checked three other MBPs and all over them exhibited the same behavior.

So no one else has this?

Yes

In my opinion this was a hastily done update. I live work in silicon valley , I have lots of friends that work at various departments in Apple, there telling me to wait to upgrade .
Be that as it may I'm waiting.

I have the same thing happening on my 08 15" MBP. It really bugs me when I look at it very closely (which I don't, since I seem to have better things to do). Still a fantastic laptop. I wish my car was built this well.... ;)

Agreed I have to look really closely. Straight head on with a light source in the back to see the gap.

So I finally figured out why there is a gap.

This is on machines whose hinges are a little tight. There is only one magnet in the center this the whole thing doesnt close completely.

Feel free to observe very closely and you will see a tiny gap.

I called apple care to see what they say and they said if it gets worse I will have to send it in but as of now they wont do anything. ARGH

Crap. For someone who's looking for a new computer now this isn't a bad update, is it? I'm switching from a PC and can't wait until October.

Its a fine time to update. People here complain about the smallest things, and they are the absolute minority of customers. People go to forums to complain about product flaws, not praise them for a lack of problems.
