Most likely I will get the Ultra 3. I can either get a trade-in gift card now and apply it to the Ultra 3 purchase, or trade the watch in as part of the Ultra 3 purchase. I’m wondering based on past history if Apple will reduce the trade-in value of the Ultra 2 as soon as the Ultra 3 is released, making it a better deal to get the trade-in gift card. I assume if I get the gift card now and decide to not purchase the Ultra 3, I can always cancel the gift card and not send the Ultra 2 in.

Any ideas based on past history?

UPDATE: After more research, I realize Apple will send the gift card only after it receives the watch, so if I went this route, I would be without a watch for a while.

I am in the UK and just did this. I have a S7 & a S10 as well, so I sent off my U2 last week and just got confirmed that the will give me the full £320 in a gift card.

No one knows for sure, but after today I can guarantee that the trade in value will be less, how much we don't know. However, you can offset it in the basket against a new U3, so you won't be without a watch and only have to pay the difference.
