Ultra 3 microphone problem

Just wondering if it’s just mine or if other people have this problem. Got a new black Ultra 3 on launch day and noticed this morning that Siri wouldn’t start a workout, figured I’d look into it later. Then Siri wouldn’t recognize dictation on a news message. Turns out the microphone just records constant ~115 db static in voice memos. And the noise app says "Measurement Suspended". Tried rebooting and unpairing/repairing. I have a Genius Bar appointing for Monday so hopefully they’ll just replace it, but was wondering if I just got a random bad device or if anyone else has seen this issue?

No problems on mine. I think you got a bad one, unfortunately.

My ultra 2 has the mic bug too. It's the new WatchOS. Others have reported the mic can stop working and throughout the entire beta Apple ignored all of us. I haven't found a way to bring the mic back yet.

It's working fine for me. I was able to use Siri to create timers the last couple of days on my Ultra 3 since upgrading from my Ultra on Saturday night - though I haven't use the microphone for anything else.
