Just picked up my Apple Watch Ultra from the Apple Store.

Quick question, on the Wayfinder watch face in night mode, is the AOD supposed to be so dim you can barely see it? Only seems to be this dim on this specific watch face in the red night mode.

You are only lighting up the red pixels, so I'd guess it would be perceived as 67% less bright than a white pixel.
Gotcha, if I do the wayfinder face in normal mode, it’s brighter in AOD, the red pixel thing makes sense. Thank you

Red night mode is for night usage. The red-only will protect your night vision and still allow you to read your watch.
If you are using it in daytime then you are just using it wrong!
