I was thinking about existing bands with the ultra.
Since the ultra case is larger then prior cases, loop type bands may fit too loosely with the ultra.

I mostly use my sport bands which won’t be an issue due to adjustability but my woven loop will probably be a no go.

Yes, I have noticed this where my apple loop band 7, on a prior AW 6 was pretty much a perfect fit, on the AWU, since the CASES is a tiny bit LONGER socket to socket, it makes the BAND a bit larger - of course it’s the same size, but the overall circumference of the WATCH and BAND is larger, making the fit LOOSER.. It’s make a tiny bit more annoying by the fact that the AWU IS heavier so while walking and such, its slips down to the wrist more and leans sideways a bit like a larger watch would - with a slightly looser fitting band. Not sure if I’ll just drop down a size in LOOP sizing to be able to keep using the LOOP band type with the AWU or just use my SPORT LOOPS which IMHO are the best bands for the AWU.

Yep this was always going to be a thing. The case is 4mm longer, so it was a given bands would either need to be worn tighter or, in the case of loops, potentially need replacing with a size down. Presumably this is why the 45mm loops now go down to a size 1.

I’ve replaced, for now, the trail loop band on my Ultra with a sport loop band that I was using with my previous series 5. The fit is longer, it wraps back around touching the other side of the watch, I have small wrists. But the fabric surface that contacts your skin is a different texture than the smooth surface of the trail loop, it’s grippier than the the trail and I also find it more comfortable. There is no sliding because of that grippier texture. For those with less small wrists this won’t be a problem at all, I can even position the watch a little further away from my hand where my wrist is bigger and the band doesn’t wrap as far around, it doesn’t slide down, grippier. Those with larger wrists than me will be quite happy. This band feels so nice I’ve ordered a new one, the ones I have were the 44mm versions which actually work quite well. I believe the 44s and the 45s have the same lengths.
