Not sure I like the new Optimized Charge limit settings. Even when I turn it off, battery will not charge to 100% when I want it to. A warning is given within the settings that states "When optimized charge limit is turned off, Apple Watch may still wait to finish charging past 80% until you need to use it." Hey Apple, why do you get to decide when I need to use it? What if I'm leaving for the airport or camping trip and would like to leave with a full charge. Kinda counter intuitive!

Apple dictates how long you can use your apple Watch of course.

I can charge it to 100 just fine. Guess the way to break it is to charge it irregularly, so the algorithm can’t figure out when it’s the best time and thus be a bit lenient on not charging it to 100%.

If I put my Ultra on a charger during the day it will charge to 100%. But my normal pattern is to place on my charger around 10pm when going to bed and taking off somewhere around 6am in the morning. So recently I noticed that it’s only charging to 75-80% on those days. Even then I don’t think I’ve ever been below 50% by 10pm.

I don't know if optimized charging still depends on significant locations. It used to be that if you have significant locations off, then optimized charging won't operate even if you have that setting turned on. So you can try to make sure significant locations is off.
