Let's quickly put this myth to bed that's being perpetuated in some of the Ultra threads. The MaxTech video clearly shows greater screen real estate when the text size is set the same between the S8 & Ultra. This is contrary to the claim that "the Ultra cuts the text at the top due to the more rounded sides, so you get less content and text".

Apple's specs clearly show a greater pixel count and screen size so it's just not possible to show less content at the same text size settings. In fact, the flatter screen also reduces glare and makes the screen more readable.

I noticed immediately in comparison to my 45mm SS S7. It is not only wider, but taller. The percentage difference in display area is 3.6%

The problem happens at the very top and the very bottom, as demonstrated in the following thread:
This isn't any indication that the Ultra's screen isn't bigger or is even a "problem". They are displaying the same information proportionate to whichever watch the OS is recognizing. The info is getting cropped because the Ultra has different shaped curved corners and screen ratio. Maybe the text app is simply designed to show the same amount of info regardless of watch size. Do you see less text lines on the 41mm?

No, I don't think it's a problem, but the poster who started that other thread did. I also think the usable screen space on the ultra is only slightly bigger than the 45, so people who believe the "biggest screen" hype are likely to be disappointed.

I think the picture is in the original post show things perfectly. No the screen is not significantly larger; however, I do think it’s easier to read because you don’t have the side glare from the bubble crystal of the typical watch and I prefer the flat screen.

Add that to the fact that it’s literally twice as bright and it makes it way easier to read in full sunlight. aside from the obvious benefits from an adventure watch situation, it also means the always on function is that much cooler because the screen brightness will make it literally look like an actual watch face all the time.
