Well, maybe it’s me, but in a naturally lit room, the ultra wide angle is ok at best. Not sharp to me. The corners I know, won’t be as sharp, but they are also super noisy.

maybe I’m crazy? ill do more testing. But this is one of my few shots. Other than this, it’s great. But I wanted this for the camera upgrade.

I’ll try it outside as well.if I’m wrong, please, let me know. My XS Max, camera worked great.

Night Mode works with the Telephoto and Wide, not the Ultra Wide so you won't get that to help any. As far as the Ultra Wide, it will not be as sharp in the corners and such, but your shots don't look too bad honestly. I think it's just a limitation of the ultra wide glass.
 
It looks like a low light issue to me. Hard to tell but I just took a shot in similar light, and the results are close to yours. Not as sharp and looks like a lot of "fixed noise" if that makes sense.
