As a distance runner for many years one of my main pet peeves has been having to use the touch screen on my apple watch to pause or resume a run. It was one of the reasons that I used a Garmin Fenix also. Now that I have transitioned to the Ultra2 exclusively for running it still is annoying to try and pause or resume a run with sweaty fingers .....It is very frustrating not to have a manual button. Any runner will tell you that sometimes it is practically impossible to use the touch screen on a hot summer run.
Is there any way that you can program the Action buttons to act as a pause/resume button when the Workout App is opened? This would honestly be a huge plus for runners and I could see Apple picking up a lot more runners to use the watch.

You can pause by pressing the Action Button and the side button at the same time. The Action Button, by itself, marks a lap.

so then I would also assume that you can resume by pressing the Action and side button simultaneously ...Thanks for the tip...greatly appreciated...
