UltraFine 5K & PC’s?

Does the 5K Ultrafine with thunderbolt 3 equipped pc’s? I can’t see why it wouldn’t but I own one and want to build a pc to have it work with it.
 
it works as it it will turn on, but you won't be able to control anything, will be on full brightness, can't change color since all settings are done from the macos settings.
